The 500 EMS

Description
Back in 1987 Kestrel engineers stunned the industry by introducing the first production monocoque racing frame, the Kestrel 4000 - a design that, as one reviewer had it, "out-performs traditional frames in virtually every respect". In 1991, the engineers re-defined the frame itself, with the introduction of the 500 SCi. In addition to heart-stopping good looks, the 500's radical seat tube-less structure demonstrated that our patented one-piece composite format offers performance-enhancing options far beyond those of traditional designs. Now the engineers have done it a third time, and the superior stiffness, vertical compliance and aerodynamics of the 500 series is now available in our superlight Enhanced Modulus material. The result is a frame like no other: the 2.9-pound Kestrel 500 EMS with EMS Pro/650 fork. Available as frameset or complete bike, in Black finish.
